Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is a American chef television personality and an instructor from the Institute of Culinary Education. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network. Anne Burrell, with her trademark spiky blond tresses and pumped-up persona on the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, provides straightforward and simple techniques for home cooks. Chef Burrell worked at New York at top restaurants and studied the Italian culinary practices and the environment. Also, she was a contestant on Iron Chef America on Food Network. Growing up in the upper reaches of New York area, Chef Burrell developed a passion of cooking and food from a young age. The Culinary Institute of America was the next step for her when she earned the Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications in the fall of 2004 from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I loved every minute during my time of The Culinary Institute of America she declares. I was unable to learn enough, didn't achieve enough and couldn't push myself enough. Following graduation, Chef Burrell was able to spend a full time in Italy studying at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. The time she spent in Italy helped her to understand and appreciate the Italian way of life and its culture which has had an impression on her culinary perspective. Burrell is a celebrity ambassador to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She has been on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board, which helps kids who have challenges. She is a frequent guest presenter at conferences, and she travels across the nation in her mentorship job. Anne said she felt lucky to be able to share her true passion with the people around her.
