Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with soul, gospel music and R&B. She's performed on Broadway and at the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine's real the name of Denise White. While she's based in Atlanta but her origins are located in Chester Pennsylvania. There she was the first to begin pursuing the musical profession by singing and playing the piano in a church. She went to Spellman College in Atlanta where she started her journey into music within the Atlanta's R&B scene. The very first track to showcase her voice was called Stalk You which was a song from Japan's house 12; since then it has been re-mixed and is now part of her repertoire. She has also contributed her voice to the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. She became the primary pianist for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, who won Tony and Grammy Awards for her vocals, asked Sunshine to join the Dreamgirls production during the Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine rose to prominence in the performances that took place over four days in The 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine sang during the 2009 Obama Inauguration.
